THE POSITION

If you are an educator looking to make a difference in students’ lives, you’re a great fit for a tutoring position with The Bridge. We are looking for a tutor who shares our passion for tailored education in school subjects - primarily in Math and English. Our tutors set learning goals related to the needs of students in the Northshore School District and greater Seattle area. Enrolled students are in regular education classes but have additional learning needs primarily in Math and the Language Arts. With the launch of the program, we are looking for tutors to join our team for the 2021-22 academic year.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 2+ years of grade school teaching or tutoring experience

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred

• Ability to comprehend, break down, and explain a complex problem

• Ability to organize and manage multiple responsibilities successfully

• Ability to adapt to a variety of skill levels and student personalities

• Expertise teaching Reading, Writing, or Math to grade school students

• Enjoys engaging with students in a one-on-one or small group setting

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Track and analyze student progress; keep detailed records of tutoring sessions

• Teach tailored lessons to each student’s needs

• Work closely with Program Supervisors to meet students’ academic goals

DETAILS

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: 20-25$ commensurate with experience

Hours available per week: Up to 24

Work days: Monday-Saturday

Work authorization: United States
